From free concerts to youth leadership,
here's what we do to build community through culture.

Free Outdoor Concerts

Our core work: accessible live music in neighborhood spaces

Ten-plus free outdoor concerts annually featuring diverse musicians across multiple venues. No tickets, no barriers, just exceptional live music for everyone. Since 2014, we've produced over 100 concerts serving 5,000+ neighbors each year.

Interdependence

Art, ritual, and celebration rooted in community

Our annual Interdependence Parade brings together large-scale puppetry, processional performance, live music, and hands-on workshops. Over several months, neighbors collaborate with local artists to build and parade massive sculptural pieces through Berea's streets. What started as a grassroots parade in 2023 is growing into a multidisciplinary festival where visual artists, musicians, and community members co-create temporary monuments to what holds us together.

Spectacle meets participation. Everyone's invited to help build what we parade.

Music & Meaning

Combating social isolation through live music and wellness

In partnership with Berea Home Village, we integrate activities into our outdoor concerts to address social isolation among older adults. Live music becomes a pathway to connection, cognitive engagement, and community belonging. Each concert pairs professional musical performance with intentional programming designed to support the health and wellbeing of Berea's aging population.

Youth Arts Leadership

Nurturing the next generation of cultural leaders

We're investing in the teens who'll shape Berea's cultural landscape for decades. Through hands-on programming and mentorship opportunities, young people learn arts administration, event production, and community organizing. Our youth initiatives build skills while centering young voices in decisions about Berea's cultural future.

Community Trust Building

Using arts to strengthen civic connections

Through facilitated arts-based approaches, we create spaces where neighbors across social divides can build the civic trust essential for healthy communities. Our work recognizes that vibrant arts scenes don't just entertain—they provide the conditions for people to see each other as neighbors rather than strangers.
